Comparison of post-operative analgesic effects of intrathecal nalbuphine and intrathecal clonidine in patients undergoing elective lower limb orthopaedic surgeries: A prospective randomized double blind study

Abstract: Materials and Methods 99 patients undergoing lower limb orthopedic surgeries randomized into 3groups comprising 33 patients in each. They were randomly allocated into - 0.5%hyperbaric bupivacaine (2.6 ml) with 0.4ml of Normal saline control group(GroupZ), 0.8mg nalbuphine(Group N), 0.4ml of 60 μg clonidine(Group C). The analgesic duration evaluated using VAS.
